Claims Preparation
- Chamberz provide services in claim identification, notification, contractual entitlement, quantification and valuation of claims, claim preparation / documentation, follow-up, negotiation, settlement and settlement agreement. We also provide assistance in defending claims put forward by other parties.
- We assist in all the aspects of claims related to scope changes in design and execution, changes in specifications, additional works, measurement methods (standard method of measurements such as smm7, cesmm3, rics and bespoke measurement preambles), omission or deletion of works, third party damages, disruptions / loss of productivity claims, loss & expenses due to delays & disruptions, additional preliminaries due to extension of time, acceleration claims, insurance claims (under contractors’ all risks, third party / public liability and professional indemnity insurance policies), escalation or inflation(fluctuation in prices of materials and labour) and currency fluctuation (in multi-currency contracts).
Residential building projects
- Prepared extension of time and additional costs towards extended stay & changes in a Design & Build project for the main contractor under modified REDAS form of contract. Delays and changes included late changes to the employer’s requirements instructed by the architect and the owners. Commercial issues included eligibility for performance allowance for early completion in a delayed situation.
Commercial building projects
- Provided assistance in preparation of time and cost claims in a junior college construction project to a main contractor involving various delays to the changes to the precast façade and structural design.
- Followed by a forensic delay analysis, prepared delay costs claim arising out of extesnion of time entitlement due to various delays in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works for a overall period of more than 5 years in a major office buildings project under a bespoke contract between the main contractor and the specialist subcontractor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Industrial building projects
- Prepared extension of time and cost claims for an erection contractor in two major cement plant projects procured under FIDIC form of contract for civil engineering works involving delays in mechanical erection works.
Airport projects
- Prepared delay and disruption compensation claim for a civil contractor in an airport expansion project in Middle East for airside works.
- Advised design & building main contractor on resolution of various commercial / contractual claims in an airport expansion project in South Asia.
- Prepared valuation of Air-conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) works for a REDAS Design & Build main contractor that were omitted under a subcontract with ACMV contractor in a major infrastructure project in Singapore.
Railway projects
- Prepared delay and disruption compensation claim for a civil contractor in monorail project in South Asia.
Solar Power Projects
- Provided claims consultancy services to a EPC Contractor in a number of solar power production facilities to ascertain entitlement for extension of time and additional costs including delay analysis.
